  • Idén att förbättra människan genom biologisk förädling. Man brukar skilja mellan positiv eugenik, vars syfte är att öka barnalstringen hos "lämpliga" föräldrar, och negativ eugenik, som genom sterilisering eller på annat sätt vill minska antalet födda av förment olämpliga föräldrar.
