  • Stav, kdy vstup, který by jinak podnik získával z vlastních zdrojů, koupí od jiného podnikatelského subjektu jako službu, případně jako zboží. Přenesení určitých aktivit a odpovědnosti za ně na externí zdroje buď z důvodů finančních nebo z důvodů profesionálních. Např. když firma zadá vykonání určité práce specialistům v oboru, kterými ona sama nedisponuje.
