- Der Gerichtshof der Europäischen Union, der seinen Sitz in Luxemburg hat, besteht aus drei Gerichten: dem Gerichtshof, dem Gericht (errichtet 1988) und dem Gericht für den öffentlichen Dienst (errichtet 2004). Die Bezeichnung "Gerichtshof der Europäischen Gemeinschaften" wurde nach Inkrafttreten des Vertrags von Lissabon am 1. Dezember 2009 durch die Bezeichnung "Gerichtshof der Europäischen Union" ersetzt.
