Definition

  • Procesul de recunoaștere optică a caracterelor care constă în conversia unei imagini numerice în text, utilizând un scanner sau un alt dispozitiv care recunoaște literele și caracterele cu ajutorul unui mecanism de conversie electronică ce folosește o sursă de lumină; textul poate fi apoi modificat sau procesat utilizînd un program de prelucrare a textelor pe calculator (Word,etc.)
