- UNESCO:n vuonna 1972 hyväksymä kansainvälinen yleissopimus maailman kulttuuri- ja luonnonperinnön suojelemisesta. Suomi on ratifioinut sopimuksen vuonna 1987. Sopimuksen tavoiteena on eri kansakuntien yhteisen ja ainutlaatuisen kulttuuri- ja luonnonperinnön säilyttäminen tuleville sukupolville
