Use as a form subdivision under names of individual persons who lived before 1400, and under names of deities and mythological and legendary characters for collections of art depicting the person, deity, or character. For collections of art depicting persons who lived after 1400, use the subdivision [Portraits.] Also use under headings of the type [topic]--[subdivision] for collections of art depicting those topics.
